Garbage and Recycling

Waste Collection

The District of Sechelt supplies every home with an organics bin, blue recycling bin and garbage bin.

Bear-resistant Organics Bins

Bear-resistant bins are now available. The bins have lids that remain locked until lifted upside down by the waste collection truck. Cost: $100 including tax. This is a one-time fee and is the price difference between the regular green bins and the bear-resistant ones.
